Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) — The semi-finals between the DPRK team and the ROK team for the 2026 AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup took place in Thailand on April 15 (local time).

On the basis of the experience gained in the group league match, the DPRK players made a strong attack to pressurize their rival from the beginning.

Amid fierce attacks and counterattacks, No. 14 Pak Il Sim and No. 12 Kang Ryu Mi of the DPRK team made scores about 24 and 34 minutes into the first half of the match. Around 84 minutes after the start of the match in the second half, No. 10 Choe Yon A again succeeded in scoring a goal.

After all, the DPRK team defeated the ROK team 3:0 and advanced to the final.

The DPRK team will play the final with its Japanese rival on April 18 (local time).
