Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) — Koreans in Japan significantly celebrated the auspicious April holiday.

Officials of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) held a meeting at the Korean Hall in Tokyo, Japan on April 13 to lay a flower basket before the portrait of President Kim Il Sung.

The participants paid tribute to the President, praying for his immortality.

A meeting of Koreans in Japan took place at the Korean Hall to celebrate the 114th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organization Department Pak Ku Ho, Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U, Vice-Chairman and Director General of the General Affairs Department Pae Jin Gu, Vice-Chairman Jo Il Yon, Vice-Chairman and Director of the Department for International Affairs So Chung On of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and Vice-Chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and concurrently Chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women’s Union in Japan Kang Chu Ryon, Chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon Ri Myong Yu, and directors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan and chairpersons of Chongryon regional headquarters in Kanto area.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played.

The reporter said that the motherland is greeting the April holiday at a time when it started a grand march to usher in a era of new upsurge and gigantic new changes in the Juche revolution with the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the First Session of the 15th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK as the starting point. He paid the highest respect and tribute to the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, praying for his immortality.

He called upon all the officials and compatriots to glorify forever the revolutionary career of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and the immortal leadership exploits performed for the movement of Koreans in Japan and to turn out as one in the patriotic activities of writing a new great history of the movement of Koreans in Japan under the bright blueprint of the prosperity of Chongryon unfolded by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A congratulatory letter to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

A lecture was held at the Korean Hall on April 11 to celebrate the 114th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.
