Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) — The men’s and women’s premier football tournaments, part of the 2026 Spring National Sports Festival, came to a close in the DPRK.

In the final of men’s football tournament held at Kim Il Sung Stadium on April 22, the Ryomyong Team beat the Kigwancha Team 4:2.

In the final of women’s football tournament held at the May Day Stadium on April 21, the April 25 Team beat the Pyongyang Team 3:1.

At the awarding ceremony on April 22, trophies and medals were awarded to the Ryomyong Team and the April 25 Team which took the first place at the men’s and women’s premier football tournaments.
