Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) — Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is intensifying scientific researches for the regional development of agriculture.

The university has made tens of valuable scientific and technological achievements conducive to breeding high-yielding strains, establishing advanced farming techniques and realizing comprehensive mechanization through the researches for stable and sustained development of agricultural production.

Its research group developed rice and maize species suitable for farming in the intermediate and mountainous areas and manufactured wheat and barley combined thresher with high working efficiency per unit time.

Stock farms and other farms in the province have introduced feed processing equipment and grain graders made by the teachers and researchers of the university.

Many students of the university have entered the ranks of winners of the University Student Scientific Research Prize by giving efforts to putting scientific research and production on an integral basis.

The university has made progress in the scientific researches including the manufacture of efficient multi-functional farm machine.
