Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) — Hyon Chol Ung, a researcher of the Phohang District Science and Technology Committee in Chongjin City of North Hamgyong Province, developed phytosin, a physiological activator, for the first time in the country. He was selected as one of the DPRK’s best scientists and technicians for 2025.

He succeeded in obtaining phytosin by deepening his long-term research and played a leading role in establishing the production process of phytosin.

He provided a scientific and technological guarantee by devoting his wisdom and enthusiasm to the research for introducing phytosin into farming practice.

His research findings are now proving effective in increasing the grain production of the country and phytosin has been widely introduced into many units.
