Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) — The final for the 2026 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup took place between DPRK and Japanese teams on May 17.

The DPRK team defeated the Japanese team 5:1 to win the game.

At the awarding ceremony, the trophy and gold medals were conferred on the DPRK women footballers who won the 2026 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup, and the best player prize and the top scorer prize on Yu Jong Hyang, the best goalkeeper prize on Kim Son Gyong and the prize of morality on the DPRK team.
