Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) — Ryanggang Province of the DPRK launched cargo vessels on Lake Samsu with an aim to transport construction equipment and materials, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The launch makes it possible to shorten the distance of transport and readily and conveniently transport the construction equipment and materials necessary for the rural housing construction in the areas around Lake Samsu.

A launching ceremony took place. Then, the cargo vessels carried heavy machinery, cement and steel materials to relevant areas.

In May alone, newly-built cargo vessels transported a large amount of materials for the rural housing construction to counties around Lake Samsu.
