Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) — The coal industry of the DPRK is stepping up the work to cope with the disastrous abnormal weather.
Officials of the Ministry of Coal Industry and relevant units have carried on scrupulous operation and command under the concrete plans, regarding it as an important affair for the growth of production to take thorough measures for preventing damage during the rainy season.
After making a detailed survey of the flood-prone pits, they have ensured that various kinds of pumps and pipes are repaired and reinforced in time and that transport lines and drainage systems are maintained and preparations made to prevent the loss of coal at coal depots.
