Yuphyong Revolutionary Site

Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) — The Yuphyong Revolutionary Site in Changsong County, North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is a significant place where President Kim Il Sung inspired the commanding officers and soldiers of the Korean People’s Army with confidence in victory during the grim period of the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) and unfolded an operational plan to annihilate the aggressors by going over to a counteroffensive on all fronts.

At dawn of one day in October 1950, the President arrived there and matured his outstanding idea and tactics to bring about a radical turn in the Fatherland Liberation War, spending the whole day at a plain farmhouse.

After receiving a report on the first day of the battle in the Unsan area, a powerful counterattack which was the prelude to a new counteroffensive of the People’s Army, he ordered KPA units to tighten the encirclement ring and annihilate the enemies completely through a violent attack.

He took measures to further strengthen defence in various regions and make full preparations for the combat of the units of the People’s Army. After acquainting himself with the wartime farming of the peasants in the village, he took a measure to increase the food production and send them to the front.

On June 15, 2013, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Yuphyong Revolutionary Site and said that the day that the President spent there is an unforgettable day to be recorded forever in the history of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Yuphyong Revolutionary Site is telling forever the immortal exploits of the President who opened a new phase of victory in the war by unfolding an operational plan to defeat the U.S. imperialists and other imperialist allied forces.
