Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) — The fruit farming sector in the DPRK has rotated fruit trees in the area of over 5,000 hectares, including the creation of over 1,400 hectares of dwarf apple orchard, 270-odd hectares of pear orchard and more than 100 hectares of peach orchard in spring this year, according to Rodong Sinmun.
Kwail County created hundreds of hectares of orchards for high-yielding fruit trees in a short span of time, and Pukchong County conducted the rotation of fruit trees with various high-yielding varieties.
The Kosan Combined Fruit Farm and other fruit farms also completed the rotation of fruit trees as scheduled.
