Productivity Increased at Yomju County Seafood Processing Factory

 

Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) — The Yomju County Seafood Processing Factory in the DPRK has increased its productivity three times as compared with the early days of its operation by holding fast to science and technology and waging a drive for increased production and economy.

The factory operated the sci-tech learning space on a normal footing to increase the ranks of technicians and skilled workers. It also conducted a technical innovation prize contest and an amateur evaluation of new products to arouse the initiative and ingenuity of producers.

It has introduced more than 10 valuable inventions and rationalization proposals to ensure the normal operation of equipment and raise the quality and productivity of goods.

A technical group of the factory newly manufactured and installed shellfish sorters and washers in a short span of time and set up a vacuum packaging machine.

Salted shellfish and processed corbicula and short neck clams produced at the factory are popular among residents for their good taste and high nutritive value.
