Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) — Members of the national trade union shock brigade for high-speed tunneling, dispatched to the Komdok Mining Complex in the DPRK, are achieving successes in raising the tunneling speed.

Thanks to their patriotic enthusiasm and practical ability, the tunneling speed has increased 1.2 times as compared with the same period of last year.

Shock brigade members of the Nampho municipal company successfully completed the first half-yearly plan for tunneling by the end of May. They have recorded high results every day in the struggle to carry out the yearly tunneling plan ahead of schedule.

Shock brigade members from South Hwanghae Province are pushing ahead with the arrangement of working place and the mucking, while increasing the operation rate of rock-drills and the efficiency of blasting per shift.

Companies of North and South Hamgyong provinces and Kaesong Municipality are also applying rational working methods suited to the conditions of faces and updating the tunneling record per shift.
