Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) — The Second Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held at a time when all the people across the DPRK are waging a dynamic struggle for a gigantic change to attain the next-stage goals in the spirit and mettle displayed to pioneer a new era of the comprehensive development of socialism, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an editorial.

The historic significance of the plenary meeting lies in the fact that it fully demonstrated the bold determination and practical will of the Party to successfully implement the major policy tasks this year in a more scientific and offensive way, remarkably increase the strength of our state and provide the people with greater wellbeing by firmly grasping the positive trend in the revolution and construction as a whole, the editorial says, and goes on:

Today we are faced with the heavy duty to carry out more huge and gigantic tasks than the past five years when we brought about remarkable changes.

It is the revolutionary mode and way of advance peculiar to our Party to dynamically advance from one stage to a higher stage of struggle and to greater success and change.

The steadfast will of the WPK to provide our people with greater happiness in the ninth term of the WPK Central Committee by steadily pioneering new domains from the first year of attaining the new long-term goals was more strikingly demonstrated with the plenary meeting as an occasion.

The decision of the plenary meeting on eliminating the centuries-old backwardness remaining in the coal industry is a precious result brought about by the fortitude of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un who regards it as his motto that the thing most favored and waited for by the people should be a policy and translated into the happiness of the people.

As our generation makes redoubled efforts, the new trend of the comprehensive development will grow stronger and a socialist paradise looked forward to and idealized by all the people will be opened on this land as soon as possible.
