Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) — Rodong Sinmun Friday dedicates an editorial to the significant Youth Day.

The brave and reliable young people in the DPRK have recorded the true nature, honor and invariable characteristics of the Korean youth once again in the history of heroic struggle of the Korean revolution and performed great feats. They are the great strength and the highest pride of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the state, the editorial says, and goes on:

Our young people are the vanguard loyal to the WPK and they are reliable and presentable revolutionaries.

Loyalty to the Party is the first ideological and spiritual characteristic of our young people and the proud tradition of the Korean youth movement.

Thanks to the large contingent of passionate youths who are always faithful and brave in following and implementing the Party’s intention, our Party is powerful and our revolution is invincible.

Our young people are the creators of miracles who glorify the new era of changes for the prosperity of the state with feats.

The pioneers of bolstering up the strongest national defence capabilities are none other than our young scientists. Standard-bearers who have a large share in all aspects of socialist construction are just our young people.

Our young people are the masters of the creation of a new culture who cultivate a socialist flower garden with the nobility and beauty of youth.

Beautiful virtue and tender feelings are the fragrance of the socialist flower garden, and it is the trait peculiar to the Korean youth to create beautiful traits of helping and leading each other forward with noble and sound moral character.

The present new era is the glorious one in which the position and role of the young people are being further highlighted and the greatest heyday of the Korean youth movement is being ushered in thanks to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s idea of attaching importance to the youth and outstanding leadership.

Thanks to the revolutionary youth organizations and young people with the matchless courage of overcoming trials and difficulties and the tremendous strength capable of attaining any difficult goal without fail, the Korean revolution will always be full of vibrant vitality and the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism will be accelerated as intended by us and according to our timetable.
