Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) — A national open Korean chess tournament took place at the Phyongsong Gymnasium from August 27 to September 3.

More than 190 players, selected from all provinces, competed in individual, doubles and team games, divided into juvenile, amateur and open categories.

South Hamgyong Province came first in total.

Cups, medals and diplomas were awarded to the successful teams and players.
