Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) — The 16 knockout match between the DPRK team and the Japanese team for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup took place on September 17 (local time).

The DPRK team defeated the Japanese team 2:0 and advanced into the quarterfinals.

The DPRK team will play the quarterfinals with the Canadian team on Sept. 20 (Sept. 21 Pyongyang time).
