Pyongyang, December 15 (KCNA) — Billions of tree saplings of over 160 good species have been produced across the DPRK this year.

The sapling production units in North Hamgyong Province made successes by improving the conditions for the growth of saplings and concentrating on ensuring the rate of rooting.

South Hamgyong Province raised more saplings of high economic effectiveness and ornamental value.

Officials and working people in Yonthan County of North Hwanghae Province built a greenhouse at the mother tree nursery to lay a foundation for producing large quantities of saplings irrespective of climatic conditions.

Jagang and South Phyongan provinces are preparing the next year’s sapling production while consolidating the successes made this year.
