Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) — Today marks the 67th anniversary of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards, the Juche-oriented militia defence forces of the DPRK.

The WPRG is the revolutionary armed forces faithfully upholding the cause of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the guardian of the government of the Republic, together with the heroic Korean People’s Army.

In the past the WPRG has developed into a wing of the People’s Army and the main force for defending the rear and homeland with rifle in one hand and hammer or sickle and writing brush in the other, thus fulfilling its mission and duty for defending the country and building socialism.

Now, the militia defence forces has steadily bolstered up their militant might in all aspects including ideology, tactics and sense of organization and discipline under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

As Kim Jong Un clarified the tasks and ways for the militia defence forces to gird themselves for war and mobilization for combat, a new radical turn has been made in bolstering up their combat efficiency.

At the paramilitary parade for celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK which was held with splendor in the presence of Kim Jong Un in 2023, the columns of parades fully demonstrated their true might, with which they fulfill their sacred mission and duty on the two fronts of national defence and socialist construction.

The security of the country and the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche are firmly guaranteed thanks to the People’s Army, the elite revolutionary army, and the powerful militia defence forces.
