Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) — The Ministry of Public Health of the DPRK is directing efforts to training medical workers, true to the policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea on public health.

Officials of the ministry and relevant units set a goal to innovate new contents and methods of vocational technical education and are carrying it out step by step.

The vocational technical education institute under the ministry has applied a research-type teaching method to subjects, raising the practical abilities and qualifications of teachers.

And it is taking measures to train students to be talents with practical abilities by drawing up a new curriculum for strengthening foreign language education from the new school year.

The provincial vocational technology colleges for medical workers and the classes for training nurses of city and county hospitals are directing efforts to practical education so that all the students can acquire the abilities and qualifications for treating and nursing patients well.

They are also engaging in improving the educational conditions and environments and equipping themselves with medical appliances and supplies necessary for experimental and practical education.
