First Politburo Meeting of Ninth C.C., WPK Held

 

 

Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) — The First Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Ninth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held at the headquarters building of the Party Central Committee on Feb. 25.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, guided the meeting.

Present there were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK.

Attending it as observers were officials of the Organizational Leadership Department and the Information and Publicity Department of the Party Central Committee.

The meeting first deliberated on the opinions raised at sectional study and consultative meetings for drafting the decision of the Ninth Congress of the WPK.

Members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, who guided the consultative meetings, reported to Kim Jong Un on the issues to be amended and supplemented in the draft decision.

Kim Jong Un heard about the opinions and gave important instructions.

 

 

The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee studied the opinions, confirmed the draft decision through an important process of deliberation and decided to submit the relevant document to the Party Congress.

The Political Bureau also examined and approved the draft five-year plan for 20 major sectors of the national economy.

The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee deliberated on the draft decision reflecting the work plan for 2026, the first year of implementing the decision of the Party Congress. Then it supplemented the draft with collected opinions and adopted it as the decision of the First Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the WPK.

The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee deliberated on the draft collection of the slogans set forth by the Party Central Committee and the draft handbook on the Party rules. It decided to complete the important documents by supplementing them with the raised opinions and propagate them throughout the Party.
