Fifth Meeting of 25th C.C., General Association of Korean Residents in Japan Held

 

Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) — The fifth meeting of the 25th Central Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) was held at the Korean Hall in Tokyo, Japan on March 6.

Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and concurrently director of its Organization Department, vice-chairpersons, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon and directors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan.

The meeting was aimed at successfully concluding the 25th-term work during the run-up to the 26th Congress of Chongryon, true to the idea and spirit of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Pak Ku Ho made a report on the first agenda item “On Greeting the 26th Congress of Chongryon with High Patriotic Enthusiasm and Success in Work”.

The reporter said that Chongryon would put spurs to the patriotic movement and the work of its branches ahead of the 26th Congress to encourage broad compatriots to play the role of masters in Chongryon work, and the organizations of different strata would launch an offensive mass movement in conformity with their characteristics.

He called upon the Chongryon officials to greet the 26th Congress with high political enthusiasm and successes in their work by thoroughly applying the ideas and leadership of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un to the work of Chongryon, bearing deep in mind the basic idea and spirit of the Ninth Congress of the WPK.

Then speeches were made.

Vice-chairman Nam Sung U made a report on the second agenda item “On Convening the 26th Congress of Chongryon”.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
