Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) — Thanks to the devoted efforts of workers in the railway transport sector of the DPRK, the Ministry of Railways finished in the main the production of concrete sleepers for the first half of the year and successfully replaced the old sleepers with new ones in the railway sections extending hundreds of kilometers.

All the railway bureaus have increased the proportion of work done by machines and replaced the old sleepers with new ones meticulously on their railway sections.

The railway transport sector is steadily advancing toward the attainment of higher goal for railway modernization.
