Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) — South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK is making progress in consolidating its foundation for producing finishing building materials, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The province has directed efforts to raising the production capacity of the Songchongang Tile Factory and other units for producing finishing building materials, thus supplying tiles, plastic windows and paints needed for rural construction to cities and counties.
The Hamhung Ironware Factory built a metal fixtures production base, and the Hamhung Chongryon Plastic Processing Factory a water supply pipe production base, thus laying the foundations for producing finishing building materials needed for rural construction.
The province intensified the guidance so that cities and counties have directed efforts to building their own production bases and increasing production indices.
Kumya, Jongphyong and Hamju counties increased the output of finishing building materials through the introduction of advanced technology while exchanging and sharing experience and technologies with each other.
Pukchong County increased the plastic pipe production capacity of the essential plastic goods factory at 1.5 times and dozens of building-materials production bases were newly built or rebuilt in the province to lay the foundations for pushing ahead with rural housing construction.
