Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) — Secondary schools No. 1 across the DPRK are strengthening the education of gifted students.

Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 and Changdok School have introduced effective and advantageous teaching methods into the education of gifted students.

They have set an example in putting the educational contents of all subjects on a higher practical, comprehensive and modern basis and improving the educational conditions and environment to help students develop their thinking faculty and application ability.

Kim Jong Suk Secondary School No. 1 has run extracurricular groups of various subjects, including mathematics, physics and chemistry, to help students consolidate the knowledge they learnt in school hours.

Wonsan and Sinuiju secondary schools No. 1 organize various teaching contests to help new teachers get familiar with efficient educational methods and apply them to teaching.

Sariwon and Amnokgang secondary schools No. 1 make new teaching materials to help students grasp the methodology and secret of studying foreign languages.

Okjon and Kanggye secondary schools No. 1 intensify practical education, attaching importance to developing students’ proactive and creative thinking and activities.
