Efforts Paid to Training Talents at Universities of Medicine

 

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) — Universities of medicine across the DPRK direct efforts to training talents in the field of medical science and technology.

Officials of relevant units have striven to train more competent health workers as advanced medical service bases are being built across the country.

Pyongyang University of Medicine has organized such events as educational experience-sharing meeting and discussion on teaching for improving the qualifications of teachers while improving the effectiveness of teaching through application of research-type teaching methods. It has also stepped up the work to draw up and execute new educational contents so as to prepare postgraduate students as competent medical workers.

Chongjin University of Medicine is speeding up the construction of new teaching buildings and an institute of medical science and technology, while manufacturing and introducing more than 30 kinds of apparatuses of experiment and practice and models to improve the practical abilities of students.

Phyongsong and Haeju universities of medicine have intensified practical education to help students acquire knowledge in the field of medical science and clinical abilities, while raising the teachers and students’ level of mastering foreign languages.

Kanggye University of Medicine is improving the conditions and environment for experiment and practice to help students experience the clinical practice while seeing the whole course of operations.

Hamhung University of Medicine has combined theoretical education with practical education and applied advanced teaching methods.
