Iron and Steel Production Goes Up in DPRK

Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) — Officials and workers in the metallurgical industry of the DPRK are putting spurs to the drive for attaining this year’s goal of iron and steel production.

Officials of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and relevant units conduct operations and guidance to perfect the Juche-based iron-making system, steadily increase their scientific and technological capabilities and keep the production going at a high rate.

The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex is bringing about a great upsurge in production amid the accelerated drive for completing the Korean-style iron- and steel-making method.

The workers of the Posan Iron Works are making innovations in the production of Samhwa iron by raising the operating rate of equipment.

The Musan Mining Complex produces large quantities of iron ore every day through collective innovations.
