Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) — The machine-building industrial sector of the DPRK is bringing about an upsurge in production while directing efforts to improving the quality of products.

The Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326 has increased the production of various kinds of electric cables by raising the operation rate of equipment while stepping up the work to locally produce parts of plastic mixer and expand the cooling water recirculation system with the main emphasis on reducing cost and realizing recycling.

The Anju Pump Factory has ensured the quantity and quality of products and consolidated the successes made in technological innovations. As a result, all processes from securing materials to finishing products are smoothly running. And it is making the preparations for serial production of newly-developed pumps.

The Ranam Coal-mining Machine Factory and the Songchongang Electric Appliances Factory are taking measures to raise the actual extraction rate from the casting work, the utilization rate of materials and the speed of assembling products.

The Taedonggang Electric Appliances Factory is stepping up the modernization of iron-core processing process and boosting production by expanding the ranks of skilled workers and putting the management of equipment and technical control on a scientific basis.

The Pyongyang Bearing Factory, too, makes good results in the production of bearings to be sent to coal mines by conducting mass movement and securing spare parts.
