Millions of Fries Released into Sea

 

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) — The North Hamgyong Provincial Fishery Management Bureau of the DPRK has released millions of fries into the sea this year.

The management bureau selected fishes of good species and is putting the fry production process on a modern and scientific basis.

Employees of the Jikha Atlantic Salmon Pedigree Farm have released many Pacific salmon fries by introducing advanced fish farming technology.

The Sapho Office for Stocking Sea with Fishes raised the survival rate and weight ratio of Pacific salmon fries while adjusting the proportion of feed mixing according to the size and growth stage of fishes and introducing advanced fish farming methods.

Ryonjin and Chongjin fishery stations released into the sea fry of flatfishes more than planned by putting the breeding of fries on a scientific and technological basis suited to their nutrition and size.
