Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) — The North Hamgyong Provincial Tree Nursery in the DPRK has secured millions of saplings needed for spring tree planting by cultivating them in a responsible manner in conformity with their biological characteristics.

The tree nursery provided seeds of young trees of good species such as Larix lepolepis and pine-nut tree and is ensuring in a scientific and technological way the temperature and humidity according to the characteristics of the relevant species.

Its employees produced and introduced amino-acid microelement compound fertilizer, carbonated self-sufficing manure and took measures to prevent the damage caused by harmful insects and applied an effective irrigation method so as to boost the rate of rooting of saplings.

By improving the land and raising the fertility of soil with various kinds of microbial fertilizers, the tree nursery is growing well all saplings needed to create raw materials forests for regional-industry factories.

The employees are also stepping up the work to acclimatize the fast-growing trees of high ornamental value to the regional climatic and soil conditions.
