Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) — The North Hwanghae Provincial Agricultural Science Institute in the DPRK set it as its research task to develop the high-yielding cultivation technology for double-cropping suited to the meteorological and climatic characteristics of the region and made successes in its implementation.

The institute bred high-yielding varieties with short growth term and strong resistance to drought even in unfavorable soil conditions and established their cultivation technology. The newly bred high-yielding varieties were registered as national varieties

In contact with agricultural guidance organs, it is introducing the high-yielding varieties into the rural areas of the province. It is also disseminating and generalizing cultivation techniques among farmers by dispatching researchers to Sariwon City and other areas.
