Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) — The salt industrial sector of the DPRK make preparations for the new year’s salt production.

The Namyang Salt Works is overhauling the evaporating and crystallization ponds, drainage canals and storage facilities in a responsible manner while making salt water by organizing rationally manpower and means to suit the winter conditions.

Workers and technicians of the Kwisong Salt Works have secured various kinds of spare parts and kept machines in good shape. The Kwangryangman Salt Works has expanded its hauling capacity and taken foresight measures to supply electricity by natural energies to consolidate its production base.

The Onchon Tile Factory and the salt-making machine repair plant are improving the efficiency of the thermal cycle system and restoring the original performance of equipment while securing raw and other materials.
