Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) — The DPRK has completed sowing winter wheat and barley seeds.

Agricultural workers in Unnyul, Yonan, Anak and Jaeryong counties of South Hwanghae Province applied lots of organic fertilizer to every field to improve soil fertility and sowed seeds in a qualitative way, taking into account biological characteristics of the varieties.

Phyongwon, Sukchon, Mundok and Jungsan counties in South Phyongan Province paid close attention to securing high-yielding strains of seeds suited to the local soil conditions and sowing the right seeds in the right fields. In this way the counties completed the sowing in a scientific and technological way in a short span of time.

Unjon, Kwaksan and Sonchon counties in North Phyongan Province allocated manpower and means according to each field and plot, chose the fields suitable for irrigation, and sowed at the right depth the fixed number of seeds per phyong.

North Hwanghae, South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces and other parts of the country finished the sowing of winter wheat and barley seeds on the principle of sowing the right crop in the right soil at the right time.
