Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) — Women’s union officials and members in the capital city of Pyongyang are devoting their pure patriotic mind to turning the city into a world-class one.

Amid a brisk mass movement for establishing socialist cultured way of life, nearly 20 dongs and 1 100 neighborhood units in the city won the title of the Loyal July 11 Red Flag Dong and Neighborhood Unit (including twice and thrice) in the first half of the year alone.

Mangyongdae District conducted a movement for winning the title of the Loyal July 11 Red Flag Dong and Neighborhood Unit and a movement to create Families Exemplary in Socialist Cultured Way of Life and generalized experience of the advanced units and, thereby, six dongs and 150-odd neighborhood units were honored with the title of the Loyal July 11 Red Flag Dong and Neighborhood Unit of higher degree.

Women’s union organizations in Hyongjesan District spruced up many dongs and neighborhood units by displaying a high sense of responsibility and meticulous manner of work.

Women’s union members in Taedongmun-dong and Kyongnim-dong of Central District, which won the title of the Thrice Loyal July 11 Red Flag Dong, improved the appearance of parks and resting sites, and those in Unha-dong of Ryongsong District carried on the project to create greenery and build retaining walls.

Women’s union officials and members in Rangnang, Sunan and Tongdaewon districts created landscapes with trees and flower shrubs of good species and spruced up children’s parks to suit modern aesthetic tastes.

The Kangdong county committee of the women’s union generalized the experience gained in the work to turn the Rimgyong workers’ district into a model unit.

Women’s union officials and members in Pothonggang, Taesong and Sosong districts have turned streets and villages into socialist fairyland while directing efforts to the normal management of remodeled parks in their areas.
