Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) — The work for creating rape fields is brisk at the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm area in the DPRK, according to Rodong Sinmun.
Officials and working people from various regions and units in North Phyongan Province have turned out in the work to create vast areas of rape fields.
Officials and designers of the Agricultural Design Branch of the North Phyongan Provincial Design Institute made a field survey of large areas from the Hadan Branch Farm No. 1 to the Soho Branch Farm and completed the design in a short span of time.
Working people of various industrial establishments in the province and members of the women’s union in Sinuiju City set a goal of carrying 200 tons of humus soil per hectare to the rape fields and conducted the work for its execution.
The units in charge of the creation of irrigation facilities for rape fields and the installation of irrigation and pumping equipment are displaying a high sense of responsibility.
Officials and working people of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm carried out their tasks such as securing and transporting manure, ploughing and making ridges between fields. They, who harvested the first vegetables in a few days after the inauguration of the farm, secured high-quality manure resources and made effective use of vehicles to carry hundreds of tons of humus soil and manure on a daily average.
A demonstration was held before starting the sowing of rape seeds in vast areas.
