
Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) — All the people and service personnel in the DPRK celebrated with splendor the 114th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
An endless stream of visitors with deep yearning flew into the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state.
Officials, working people, service personnel and school youth and children laid flower baskets, bouquets and flowers at the statues of the great leaders and mosaics depicting the peerlessly great men in different parts of the country including Mansu Hill and paid tribute to them.
On the occasion of the April spring holiday, working people visited the President’s birthplace at Mangyongdae to deeply grasp the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great man, who regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven and made a sacred history of the people-first principle.
The national flags and visual aids were displayed at major places in the capital city and provincial, city and county seats and at institutions, industrial establishments and farms across the country, adding to the festive mood.
Pupils in all parts of the country joined the Korean Children’s Union on the significant Day of the Sun.

Colorful performances were given at theatres and other places in the capital city and local areas.
There was a demonstration of riders of the riding club in Kanggye City.
The joy and excitement of celebrating the Day of the Sun were also overflowing at dancing party venues in South Phyongan, North Hwanghae and Ryanggang provinces, Rason Municipality and other parts of the country.
The Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum and other cultural recreation grounds were replete with the people’s joy and happiness and public catering establishments across the country were crowded with visitors.
