Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) — Jagang Province of the DPRK is pushing ahead with the construction of rural dwellings planned for this year.

Thanks to the efforts of officials and builders, land leveling, installation of water pipes and water collecting well construction were completed. Foundation work is underway in several cities and counties.

The province set a step-wise goal for pushing ahead with the construction of dwellings in a planned way and is directing efforts to strengthening the material and technical foundations for rural construction.

It takes measures to share and generalize the successes and experience of advanced units, improve the qualifications of construction workers and ensure the quality of construction through utensils and tools exhibition, finishing building materials exhibition and inter-sector short course.

The workers in the field of building-materials production are increasing production while waging a drive for increased production.

Cities and counties have also directed efforts to revitalizing building-materials production bases from the outset of the year, thus securing large quantities of blocks and tiles and producing various kinds of paint and fittings.

Usi, Janggang and Junggang counties have provided construction brigades with efficient construction equipment and tools and launched passing-on technique group activities to build up construction forces.

Kanggye City, Chosan and Jasong counties, too, are increasing the operation rate of machines to expand successes in foundation work.
