Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) — More than 130 cities and counties of the DPRK expand successes in a drive to completely improve the Evodia daniellii Benn forests, created in the past, by cooperating with the Academy of Forest Science, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The campaign for grafting buds and branches of high-yielding trees on the low-yielding ones was conducted simultaneously across the country.
Researchers of the Academy of Forest Science in the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians made a survey of the Evodia daniellii Benn forests in different parts of the country. They also completed the summer grafting technology deemed impossible.
The work for securing the high-yielding tree branches was successfully completed, thanks to the efforts of the employees of the city and county oil-bearing tree forest stations and researchers of the Academy.
Good results are being made in the forest improvement in different cities and counties across the country, including Songchon and Unchon counties and Anju city.
