Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) — Women’s union officials and members in the DPRK met at the Hall of Women here on April 14 to celebrate the 114th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Attending it were Kim Yong Sop, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the central committee of the women’s union and union officials and members in Pyongyang.
A reporter and speakers noted that President Kim Il Sung, who embarked upon the road of the revolution in his early years, performed immortal exploits for the times and history with his outstanding ideology, extraordinary leadership and noble virtues, regarding it as his lifelong motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.
They said that the President defeated the two formidable imperialist foes in one generation to liberate the country and firmly defend the sovereignty of the country and led the two stages of social revolution, two rounds of rehabilitation and several stages of socialist construction to victory, thus building a firm socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence on this land.
They stressed that the history of love and trust of the President, who trained the Korean women into powerful forces pushing one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot and into women revolutionaries, is being given steady continuity under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
They called upon all the women’s union officials and members to uphold the leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un with single-minded loyalty, conscious of their responsibility and duty assigned by the times and the revolution.
The reporter and speakers expressed the will to glorify the patriotic exploits of the peerlessly great men for all ages and demonstrate the revolutionary stamina of the Korean women in the all-people patriotic struggle for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the WPK under the leadership of the great Party Central Committee.
