Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) — Doctor and Associate Professor Won Ik Jun, a researcher at the Institute of Engineering Science of Pyongyang University of Architecture, was selected as one of the DPRK’s best inventors for 2025.

He came up with 16 valuable inventions, including the settlement of sci-tech problems arising in installing and assembling elevated large structures.

Most of his inventions helped conduct smooth installation of structures in unfavorable and difficult conditions.

Symbolic and decorative towers, tens of meters high on the roofs of skyscrapers in Mirae Scientists Street and Ryomyong Street, and chimney and compounding tower newly built at the smeltery and large chemical base are associated with his sincere thinking, enthusiasm and efforts.
