Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) — The Agricultural Machine Institute under the Agricultural Commission is focusing on developing more efficient farm machines.

The institute is subordinating and orienting all its work to resolving scientific and technological problems after reflecting the main research projects in its plan.

The technical group of the institute invented a rice-transplanting machine suited to actual conditions and regional characteristics, thus providing a scientific and technological guarantee for ensuring even depth of seedling transplantation in the work of the nutritive cold-bed rice-transplanting machine and reducing its plant-missing rate.

The researchers also completed the design of devices capable of improving the performance of rice-transplanting machine in a short span of time and took technical measures to make their operation smoother while using less fuel.

The research findings helpful to increasing the wheat and barley threshing capacity and enhancing the effect of seed selection are also associated with the enterprising spirit of the researchers of the institute working hard to develop farm machines suited to the specific conditions of the country.

They have also played a decisive role in designing and manufacturing efficient machines for making fish paths in paddy fields by developing the compaction apparatus and depth control apparatus suited to the soil conditions of paddy fields.
