Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) — South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK concentrates efforts on the development of the agricultural sector.

The province is striving to establish databases of latest agriculture scientific and technological achievements at its all farms and, at the same time, invent, manufacture and upgrade farm machines and produce and replenish small- and medium-sized farm implements.

As part of the preparations for farming, it set model units for each city and county, finished the construction of over 130 rice seedling greenhouses and made progress in introducing paddy-field fish breeding and establishing the production process of pyroligneous acid.

The exhibitions of tractors and small- and medium-sized farm implements helped cities and counties make full preparations for using tractors, tillers and farm implements.
