Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) — The Sangwon Cement Complex in the DPRK was the first to always respond to the call of the Workers’ Party of Korea for miraculous increased production and perfectly implemented it during the years of the eighth term of the Party Central Committee.

The complex updated the highest production results three times.

At the plenary meeting in December 2021, the Party Central Committee put forward a new policy of rural construction in parallel with industrial construction and the large-scale housing construction in the capital and regional areas.

In 2022, the complex set a new record of producing hundreds of thousands of more tons of cement than the previous highest production record, thus implementing the decisions of the Party Congress and upholding the Party’s policy on construction in practice.

In the grand construction struggle for implementing the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, which embodies the unique state-building idea of the Party, the complex played the vanguard role which no one could do.

In 2024, the first year of implementing the regional development policy, the complex produced tens of thousands of more tons of cement.

The Central Committee of the WPK set 2025 as an eye-opening year and a year of great turn in completing the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress and providing a phase of higher development, and put forward the grand task to more splendidly complete more monumental entities.

The complex was seething all year round with the creation of new standards and new records. As a result, it increased the amount of its production in 2025 ten times as compared with that it produced more than its plan in the previous year, thus providing the greatest labor achievements presented to the Ninth Party Congress.

The exciting five-year journey of exceeding the highest production results three times is associated with the warm traces of collective innovation and mass heroism.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Sangwon Cement Complex first soon after the Ninth Party Congress and, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, extended his warm thanks to all the workers, technicians and officials of the Sangwon Cement Complex for making effort to achieve continued upsurge and innovations to exalt the great honor of our country and for demonstrating the might of the Korean working class and the mettle of our advancing socialism, saying that the epochal events that threw the whole country into excitement year by year for the past five years were all associated with this complex.
